Create a Confluence Page From a Slack Thread
Capture a chat discussion as a durable page with decisions.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Turn this Slack thread into a Confluence page. The thread with sender names and times, pasted as text: [THREAD_TEXT]. The topic and the channel: [TOPIC_AND_CHANNEL]. Whether names may appear on the page: [NAMES_OK]. Who needs to see the result: [READERS]. Read the whole thread and separate facts, opinions, questions, decisions and actions. Write a page with a title, a three-sentence summary, a Decision section (or 'No decision reached'), the options discussed with the reasons given for and against each, open questions, actions as a table with owner and date only where the thread states them, and a short timeline of how the discussion developed. Remove greetings, reactions and side conversations, and quote key lines in a few words. Show disagreement fairly. If an apparent agreement was only a reaction emoji, say it is unconfirmed, and do not invent a decision the thread does not support. Remove personal data and anything confidential that readers should not see. Output Markdown ready to paste, then a list of statements to confirm with the people named, and a one-line message to post back in the thread with the link and a request to correct anything wrong. Someone who never saw the thread should understand what was decided and why. Mark uncertain readings [VERIFY].
