Slack Message Tone and Inclusion Review of a Channel
Check a channel's tone and accessibility for all members.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Review the tone and inclusion of a Slack channel using a sample of messages (with names removed): [MESSAGE_SAMPLE]. Channel purpose and membership mix (time zones, languages, roles): [CHANNEL_CONTEXT]. Our code of conduct: [CODE_OF_CONDUCT]. Look for patterns, not individual blame, and mention what is working well: dismissive replies, jargon that excludes newcomers, jokes that may not land across cultures, late-night pings across time zones, long unthreaded debates, emoji-only reactions replacing decisions, and messages hard to read for screen-reader users (long unformatted blocks, images without descriptions). Give examples from the sample with a respectful rewrite for each. A sample cannot show the whole channel. Return a table of patterns with Evidence, Effect and Suggestion, five proposed channel norms, and a short friendly message to introduce them. If any message looks like harassment or discrimination, it should be passed to the person responsible under our policy and not handled in the channel [VERIFY]. Be fair and specific and do not label people.
