Write a cover letter for a career change. Previous field and key experience: [PREVIOUS_FIELD_AND_EXPERIENCE]. New field and role: [NEW_FIELD_AND_ROLE]. Why I am changing, honestly: [REASON_FOR_CHANGE]. Preparation I have done (courses, projects, volunteering): [PREPARATION]. Posting highlights: [POSTING_HIGHLIGHTS].

Study this contrast in the middle of a letter:
Weak: "Although I have no experience in data analysis, I am a fast learner and would love the chance."
Strong: "For six years I tracked stock levels for 3,000 products and spotted a pattern that cut waste by 14 percent. Last year I trained in SQL and built a dashboard for a community charity. That is the work I now want to do full time."

Write a letter of 220 to 280 words with: a clear first sentence about the role; a bridge from past to future built on evidence; one specific example of skills transfer; proof of preparation; and a confident close. Avoid apologizing, avoid saying you are a fast learner without proof, and avoid criticizing the previous field. Provide two alternative opening lines and a list of claims I must be ready to back up in an interview. Use only my facts, and mark missing details as [ADD DETAIL].
