Check for whole-column references in heavy formulas, many ARRAYFORMULA or QUERY calls on large ranges, repeated lookups, volatile functions, large amounts of empty rows and columns, conditional formatting on huge ranges, and many imports. For each cause explain how to test it by changing one thing at a time and the expected improvement. Method: duplicate the sheet, remove one feature at a time, and compare load time; record before and after times in a table. Keep a copy before changes. Cell limits and file size limits are a risk [VERIFY the current limits]. Return a table and an order of fixes. Keep the answer to a ranked table of causes with one test for each.
