Audit date logic in Looker Studio. Reports with default date range, comparison setting, date field used by each chart, and time zone: [DATE_SETTINGS]. Examples of numbers that look wrong: [EXAMPLES].

Make a table of every chart with Date field, Default range, Comparison, Time zone, Issue and Fix. Check for charts using different date fields (created versus paid: orders created in March and orders paid in March are different numbers, and a chart mixing them misleads), incomplete periods compared with full ones, comparison periods of different lengths, time zone differences between source and report, and week start differences. Recalculate two examples by hand, comparing the same period in the report and the source system: 1,214 in the report against 1,226 in the source is a difference of 12, or 1.0 percent; find its cause (time zone boundary, late-arriving data, a filter).

Recommend a label on every page stating the date field, range and comparison, and a default of the last complete period rather than a partial one. Mark settings [VERIFY].
