Executive Summary Deck of Five Slides
Create a short deck for busy decision makers.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Create a five-slide deck. Subject: [SUBJECT]. Decision needed: [DECISION]. Key facts and numbers: [FACTS]. Audience: [AUDIENCE]. Slides: one, the decision and recommendation; two, why now with the key numbers; three, options and trade-offs in a small table; four, risks and how they are managed; five, next steps with owners and dates. For each slide give the headline sentence, the content in at most four short lines, the visual, and speaker notes of 80 words. Check that the deck can be understood by someone who reads only the headlines. Use only my facts and mark gaps as questions. Provide a one-paragraph email to send with the deck. Add an appendix plan: which supporting slides to prepare for questions, with titles written as the questions they answer. Provide the opening line for the email and a subject line. Suggest sending the deck one day before a meeting only if the audience reads in advance, otherwise bring it as a handout.
