Business Card and Stationery Design Brief
Brief a designer on a small set of printed items.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Write a stationery brief. Business and role: [BUSINESS_AND_ROLE]. Items needed: [ITEMS]. Brand colours and fonts: [BRAND_ASSETS]. Information to show: [CONTACT_INFORMATION]. Budget and quantity: [BUDGET_AND_QUANTITY]. Describe the purpose of each item, what must be easy to read, hierarchy of information, finish options, and what to avoid such as tiny text. Include a proof checklist and print specification with bleed and margin to confirm with the printer [VERIFY]. Add two design directions, a request for accessible text size, and a list of files to supply to the designer. Do not include personal details beyond what I choose to publish. Add a checklist for the foil, emboss or special finishes, which raise cost and complexity, and a rule of choosing at most one special feature. Provide a note on readability of contact details and a recommendation to test the card in dim light. Include a reprint plan: keep a digital master and note the quantities used so the next order happens before stock runs out.
