Stripe Test Mode Checklist Before Going Live

Checks for the live switch: live keys stored securely (never pasted into chats or code repositories), webhook endpoint using the live signing secret, business details complete, statement descriptor, support contact, terms and refund policy. Go-live sequence: the day before freeze changes and confirm account owner access; at launch switch the live keys in the secure configuration, deploy, make one real purchase of the smallest amount by the owner, check the payment, email, webhook and dashboard, then refund it; monitor for 24 hours and check daily for the first week, naming who is on call. Go/no-go meeting with five criteria and the decider. Rollback: switch back to test configuration, show a maintenance message and disable payment buttons quickly. Sign-off table of who confirmed each item. A checklist does not replace security or compliance review [VERIFY].
