Write LinkedIn connection notes for different situations. My role and field: [MY_ROLE]. Situations I face (attended same event, saw a post, same school, recruiter, potential client, competitor, former colleague): [SITUATIONS].

Use the few-shot pattern below, then continue it for each of my situations with two options each under 200 characters. Example one, same event: "Hi Ana, I enjoyed your question in the data panel on Tuesday about messy sources; I would like to keep in touch." Example two, former colleague: "Hi Tom, it has been a while since the Leeds project; I would love to hear what you are building now." Avoid flattery, pitches, and requests in the first note. Add a short note for when I have no common ground, a rule for follow-ups, and a list of five notes that sound automated and how to fix them.

Add advice on when to skip the note, how to follow up after acceptance with a message that does not pitch, and a rule for removing connections who send spam.
