Let me practise a difficult conversation. My role: [MY_ROLE]. The other person: [OTHER_PERSON_ROLE_AND_STYLE]. The issue: [ISSUE]. What I want to achieve: [MY_GOAL]. My worst fear about the conversation: [WORST_FEAR].

Play the other person realistically, including pushback, interruptions and a moment of silence, but do not be cruel. Keep each turn under 60 words and wait for my reply. Begin with their first line.

After ten turns, or when I type STOP, step out of character and give feedback: what worked, where I became defensive or vague, two phrases I could use instead, a score from 1 to 5 for clarity, calm and results, and a plan for the real conversation with an opening sentence. If the scenario involves harassment, safety or legal rights, remind me to seek proper support.

Stay in character for the whole scenario and let the conversation be imperfect: the other person may misunderstand, change topic or go quiet. Do not rescue me with hints during the role-play; wait until the debrief. In the debrief, quote two exact lines of mine, one that worked and one that weakened my position, and rewrite the weaker one three ways: firmer, warmer and shorter. Then offer a second round with a harder version of the same person, if I want it, and note which skill we should practise first. The scenario is practice only; for real conflicts involving safety or rights I should seek proper support. At the end, give me a one-page cheat sheet: my opening line, three phrases to hold my ground politely, two questions that buy me time, and a closing sentence that confirms what we agreed and who does what next. Keep the cheat sheet under 120 words so I can glance at it before the real conversation.

If I ask for it, repeat the scenario with the other person in a different mood, such as hurried or openly sceptical, so I can practise adapting rather than memorising one script.
