Explain this idea as if I were new to the subject: [TOPIC]. What I already know: [WHAT_I_KNOW]. Why I need it: [PURPOSE].

Give the explanation in four parts: a one-sentence plain definition; an everyday analogy, with a note on where the analogy breaks down; a small concrete example with numbers I can follow; and the three most common misunderstandings, each corrected in one sentence. Use no jargon without defining it the first time it appears, and keep the whole answer under 250 words.

End with three check questions of increasing difficulty and wait for my answers before giving the solutions. When I answer, tell me what I got right, correct what I got wrong without repeating my mistake in your wording, and suggest the next idea to learn.

Pitch the explanation at the level of a curious twelve-year-old, but do not talk down. Prefer short sentences and concrete nouns, and give one number or fact the reader can picture, such as a quantity compared with something familiar. If the topic has a common false belief, address it directly in the misunderstandings section. After my answers to the check questions, offer a second explanation using a different analogy for the part I found hardest, and tell me which of the two you think suits my background better and why.
