Salesforce Automation and Validation Rule Conflict Audit
Find automations that clash or block users.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Audit the automation in our Salesforce org for one object, advising testing in a sandbox only. List of flows, validation rules, workflow rules, triggers and approval processes that apply to it, with their conditions: [AUTOMATION_LIST]. Complaints from users: [COMPLAINTS]. Describe the record lifecycle for a typical update, from the user saving to the final committed values, and mark each point where a listed automation acts; the exact order of execution must be checked against Salesforce documentation [VERIFY with the administrator]. Write each rule in plain language and test it against a normal case and an edge case. Find conflicts: two automations updating the same field (present a table of fields updated by more than one, and say which rule should own each), validation rules that block automations, rules that fire repeatedly, and bulk updates that hit limits. Return a table with Item, Purpose, Conflicts, Risk and Recommendation, a simplification plan, and test cases (input, expected outcome, actual) including a bulk update of 200 records and a user with limited permissions. Be clear about what you cannot know without seeing the configuration, and do not recommend deleting any automation without owner approval.
