Brief a dashboard design in Figma. Users and the decisions they make: [USERS_AND_DECISIONS]. Metrics and data types: [METRICS]. Screen sizes: [SCREEN_SIZES]. Existing components: [COMPONENTS]. Specify the information hierarchy (what is seen first), the grid, the key numbers with comparison and trend, the chart chosen for each question, filter placement and behaviour, table design with sorting and density options, and responsive behaviour. Layout sketch on a 12-column grid: a row of four key number cards of three columns each; below, a trend chart across eight columns and a ranked list across four; then a full-width table with filters above it. Typography for numbers: tabular figures, a larger headline figure, and a rule for abbreviations (1.2k versus 1,200). Define states: loading skeletons, empty with an explanation, error with a retry, and partial data with a note. Use non-colour cues for status. Give a content spec for each widget (title, metric definition, unit, time range, source) and tooltip copy explaining each metric in one sentence; every number must be defined, since ambiguity in a dashboard is a defect. Accessibility: keyboard access to charts, text summaries or alternatives, patterns as well as colour, and contrast. End with a handoff table of components and variants, a review checklist and questions for the data team.
