Extract the hidden assumptions behind the schedule, budget, scope, team, technology, and stakeholders. For each assumption ask: what evidence do we have? what if it is wrong by 20 percent? who can confirm? Rank by impact and uncertainty and show the top ten in a table: Assumption | Evidence | If wrong | Test | Owner | By when. Then ask me ten probing questions about the plan (for example "Which task has never been done by this team before?" and "What is the longest you have waited for an approval on a similar project?"). List the questions together with the likely risks each one reveals, then provide a revised list of risks to add to the register. Keep the tone supportive. End with a ranked list of the five assumptions most worth testing in the next week, each with a named test, who could run it, and the date the plan should be revisited if the test fails.
