How-To Video Script With Visual Cues
Teach a skill clearly in a watchable video.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Write a how-to video script. Topic and the result viewers will achieve: [TOPIC_AND_RESULT]. Audience and their level: [AUDIENCE_AND_LEVEL]. Steps as I know them: [STEPS]. Video length target: [LENGTH]. Channel style: [CHANNEL_STYLE].
Return a two-column script table: On screen (what to show: close-ups, screen recording, text overlays, cutaways) | Voiceover or spoken line.
Structure: hook in the first 10 seconds that shows the finished result or the problem; a short promise ("In four steps you'll..."); materials or prerequisites; steps, each with a clear action line, a visual demonstration, a common mistake and fix; a quick recap; a call to action related to the topic (not generic).
Rules: write for speaking (short sentences, contractions, no reading of the screen text word for word); keep the pace of about 130 words per minute; place the most useful tip early; include safety notes where relevant before the risky step; mark steps I did not confirm as [VERIFY]. Add alternative hooks (three), a list of B-roll shots to film, chapter markers with titles, an on-screen text list, a short description with accurate keywords, and captions advice. Do not invent facts or tool names, and do not make unsupported claims about results.
