Score each criterion from 1 to 5, quote the words behind the score, and give a fix: 1. Relevance: a clear reason this person is receiving it. 2. Specificity: concrete details instead of generalities. 3. Value to the recipient (not just about me). 4. Clarity of the ask: one small, easy step. 5. Brevity: short enough for a phone screen (about 50 to 125 words). 6. Credibility: proof that is true and relevant; no exaggeration. 7. Tone: respectful, human, not pushy or robotic. 8. Subject line: honest, specific. 9. Formatting: plain, no heavy images or many links. 10. Compliance: identity, opt-out, and consent considerations [VERIFY]. Return the scorecard, the three most important edits, a rewritten version (under 110 words), and two alternative subject lines. Then run the "so what" test: read each sentence and ask whether the recipient cares; remove those that fail. Add a pre-send checklist (name spelled correctly, company correct, link works, no leftover placeholders, send time). Do not add claims I did not make.
