Design a work sample for candidates. Role and the work it does: [ROLE_AND_WORK]. Skills to test: [SKILLS]. Time we can ask of candidates: [TIME_LIMIT]. Candidates' circumstances (employed, caring duties): [CANDIDATE_CONTEXT]. Create: a realistic task brief of 150 to 250 words with all information needed; clear instructions (time limit, tools allowed, format); a rubric with 4 to 5 criteria, each scored 1 to 5 with anchors; and a blind review procedure (remove names). Include rules for fairness: keep it short (under 90 minutes), pay candidates for long tasks, never use the task to get free work for real company projects, offer accessible alternatives, and give everyone the same time. Add: example strong, adequate, and weak responses described in outline, a scoring sheet, a follow-up interview discussion plan (ask how they approached it), and a note on data handling and intellectual property in [JURISDICTION] [VERIFY]. Do not include real confidential material. Include the instructions to candidates in full (about 150 words), the scoring sheet with the anchors for each criterion, and a rule for two reviewers to score independently and compare, with a third reviewer only if scores differ by more than one point. Please use the output as a draft only; it is not legal or HR advice. Run all legal, contractual or policy content past an employment lawyer or HR professional who works in [JURISDICTION] first.
