Plan a unit with backward design. Subject, level, and unit topic: [SUBJECT_LEVEL_TOPIC]. Duration: [DURATION]. Required standards or curriculum outcomes: [OUTCOMES]. Students' background: [STUDENT_BACKGROUND]. Resources: [RESOURCES]. Work through three stages: STAGE 1, desired results: enduring understandings (2 to 3), essential questions (3), knowledge students will have, skills they will perform. Write them in student-friendly language. STAGE 2, evidence: one performance task with a rubric (four levels), plus quizzes, observations, and self-assessment. Show how each piece of evidence maps to the outcomes in a table. STAGE 3, learning plan: a sequence of lessons with a title, objective, key activities, formative checks, and homework for each, ordered logically with time estimates. Include launch activities that hook students and review lessons. Add: pre-assessment ideas, common misconceptions to address, differentiation strategies, vocabulary list, a resource list, cross-links to other subjects, and a calendar view of the unit. Include a final alignment check: does each lesson help students succeed on the performance task? List the lessons that do not and revise them. Mark where I need to supply standards references.
