Plan monitoring for a deployed model. Model and inputs: [MODEL_INPUTS]. How labels arrive and how late: [LABEL_DELAY]. Business impact of errors: [IMPACT]. Define what to monitor: input distribution (population stability or simple summary statistics), prediction distribution, data quality (missing, ranges), and performance when labels arrive. For each give the metric, the baseline, the alert threshold set from historical variation (not guessed), and the response. Provide a dashboard outline, alert routing, and a retraining policy with criteria. Include a section on proxy metrics when labels are delayed. Add a runbook table for typical alerts. Add a worked example of a population stability calculation on an invented feature with five bins, showing the arithmetic and how to read the result. Include advice on choosing the reference window and on avoiding alert fatigue by combining signals, and a section on documenting each alert investigated. Add a worked alert threshold derivation from invented history: a feature whose weekly population stability index over the last 26 weeks has a median of 0.04 and a 95th percentile of 0.09, so the warning threshold is set at 0.10 and the action threshold at 0.20, with the reasoning. Label it an illustration. Add an alert response table (alert, first check, likely causes, owner, time to respond, escalation) for five alerts: a feature missing rate jump, a shift in a key feature, a change in predicted positive rate, a delay in labels arriving, and a fall in measured performance. Provide a retraining decision rule that requires evidence of degradation and not merely drift, and a monthly review that records each alert investigated, the finding and whether the threshold needs adjusting. Close with a one-page dashboard layout in text: top row of health lights, a row of input drift charts, a row of prediction and performance charts, and a log of alerts investigated. Also add a short list of the five monitoring metrics to build first if time is limited, with the reason for each choice.
