Audit a SharePoint library. Folder tree to three levels, a sample of 40 file names, and the metadata columns in use: [LIBRARY_DESCRIPTION]. Our naming standard: [STANDARD].

Count folder depth, empty folders, folders with a single file, duplicates by name, file names that break the standard, files with special characters or very long names, and the share of files with metadata filled in, with arithmetic (1,200 files of which 300 lack a document type is 25 percent). Give examples of names that break the standard with the corrected version of each. Explain how deep folders hide files and how metadata views can replace some. Propose the minimum change that fixes most of the problem and say what to leave alone: a target structure outline, a mapping table for ten sample items, and a staged plan (agree the standard, fix new files first, then old files in batches). Renaming and moving can break shared links and bookmarks [VERIFY].
