Teams Guest Access and External Sharing Review
Check outside users and sharing settings (defensive).
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Review guest and external access in our Microsoft Teams as a defensive review of my own organisation's settings. List of guests with organisation, the teams they belong to, who invited them, last sign-in and role: [GUEST_LIST]. Our policy: [POLICY]. Sensitive teams or channels: [SENSITIVE_TEAMS]. Check for guests who no longer need access, guests in sensitive teams, guests invited by people who have left, guests with owner roles, guests from personal email addresses, and teams without a review date. Rate each finding by risk and effort, recommending least privilege and removal of what is not needed. Add a rule that guest access has an end date. Removing a guest affects their access to files and chats, so say what the owner should warn them about. Return a table with Guest or team, Issue, Risk, Action and Who to ask, a message asking team owners to confirm each guest, and a quarterly review routine. Use anonymised lists; do not ask me for passwords or personal data. Mark settings you are unsure of [VERIFY].
