Data Source Blending and Metric Definition Audit
Check that blended data and metric names are consistent and trustworthy.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Audit a Looker Studio report's data. The data sources, blends (join keys and type), calculated fields, and the metrics shown on each page: [DATA_SETUP]. Known source totals for a period: [SOURCE_TOTALS]. Check whether join keys are unique, whether blending can duplicate or drop rows, whether date fields and time zones match across sources, whether metrics with the same name are defined the same way (sessions, conversions, spend), and whether aggregation settings are correct. Compare report totals with source totals and show the difference and percentage with the arithmetic. Make a table with Metric, Source, Definition, Aggregation, Potential issue, and Test. Provide a metric dictionary template and a monthly reconciliation routine. Mark limits of blending and any connector behaviour as [VERIFY]. Add a worked reconciliation: report shows 12,480 sessions for May, the source platform shows 12,910, a difference of 430 or 3.3 percent, then list the likely causes to test (time zone, filters, sampling, blended duplicates) and a metric dictionary row for 'sessions' with its definition and owner.
