Test three-way matching. A sample of purchases with order, delivery note and invoice details: [PURCHASE_SAMPLE]. Tolerance accepted: [TOLERANCE].

For each, compare quantities and prices, compute differences, flag invoices paid without a matching order or receipt, and invoices above the order value. Summarise the total difference.

Return a table, the arithmetic, the percentage of purchases fully matched, and controls: purchase orders above a threshold, receiving checks and payment only after matching.

Add a worked match: order 20 units at 5, delivery note 18 units, invoice 20 units at 5 equals 100. Expected payment for 18 units = 90; invoice overstated by 10. Another purchase: order 10 at 12 equals 120, delivery 10, invoice 10 at 13 equals 130; price difference 10. Matched fully: 3 of 5 purchases equals 60 percent. Propose the tolerance rule and what happens when differences exceed it.

Add a worked tolerance rule: differences up to 2 percent or 20, whichever is lower, are paid automatically; above that they go to the buyer. Apply it to the examples: the 10 price difference passes, the 10 overstatement for undelivered units is within tolerance but the pattern should be tracked. Add a monthly report of unmatched invoices and their age.
