Postman Environment Drift and Configuration Audit
Find differences between environments that cause surprises.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Compare Postman environments for local, staging and production, with sensitive values replaced by [SECRET]: [ENVIRONMENT_VARIABLES]. Never include real secrets. Present a matrix of variable against environment, with blanks visible, highlighting differences. Find variables missing in some environments, different names for the same thing, base addresses pointing to the wrong place, environment-specific flags, and leftover values. For each difference ask whether it is intended, give the likely reason and the risk if wrong, such as running a destructive test against production because of a wrong base address. Mark anything unclear as a question. Propose a standard variable list with a naming convention and a template with placeholders only. Add a pre-run check, such as a request that prints which environment is active, a rule that production collections run only read-only requests, and a rule for who edits environments. Return a table and a plan. Keep the matrix readable by listing only variables that differ or are missing, with the full list as an appendix. Tell me which difference is the riskiest and why.
