Write a set of Slack message templates for [TEAM_OR_COMPANY]. Types of message we send: [MESSAGE_TYPES], for example launch announcements, policy changes, outages, planned maintenance and holiday cover. Audience for each: [AUDIENCES]. Tone we want: [TONE].

For each type write a template of under 120 words that works if the reader sees only the first two lines: the key point first, then what it means for readers, what they must do and by when, and where to ask questions. Use placeholders in square brackets, no jargon or blame, and never promise a fix time the team has not agreed. Incident messages include a status line (investigating, identified, monitoring, resolved), the time of the last update, the effect on users, and when the next update will come, with no speculation about causes before they are known. Worked sequence for an invented outage, each message under 70 words: 10:05 initial notice; 10:35 cause identified; 11:20 workaround; 12:10 resolved; next-day summary with actions. Add a post-incident summary template (what happened, impact, cause, what we did, what we will change, thanks).

Slack formatting guidance: bold for the key line, a short bulleted list, a thread for questions, and a pinned version for lasting policies. Explain @channel, @here and no mention, and recommend the quietest option that reaches the people who must act [VERIFY the exact behaviour in our workspace]. Provide a five-point pre-posting checklist: correct channel, dates and time zone, and a named contact.
