Win Story Write-Up for Internal Sharing
Capture what worked in a deal.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Write an internal win story. The deal (customer type, size, cycle length, competition): [DEAL_DETAILS]. What we did (steps, people involved, assets used): [WHAT_WE_DID]. What the buyer said made the difference: [BUYER_REASONS]. Mistakes and near-misses: [MISTAKES]. Produce a 1-page write-up with: summary (3 sentences); customer situation; timeline table (date, event, what we did); the turning points and why they mattered; what we would repeat; what we would change; assets and templates to reuse (with links); and 3 lessons for other reps. Add a tone check: celebrate the team and be honest about luck and context, without exaggerating. Include a short version (100 words) for the weekly sales email and five questions that reps should ask themselves in similar deals. Rules: respect customer confidentiality (anonymize unless permission exists), avoid claiming one factor caused the win, and do not include personal data. Mark facts to confirm as [VERIFY]. End by listing who should read it (new reps, managers, marketing) and one question to discuss at the next team meeting.
