Demo Script With Discovery Hooks
Run a demo that answers the buyer's actual needs.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Create a demo script. Product and key capabilities: [PRODUCT_AND_CAPABILITIES]. Audience and their stated needs from discovery: [AUDIENCE_NEEDS]. Demo length: [DEMO_LENGTH]. Environment (live, sandbox, recorded): [ENVIRONMENT].
Structure it like this:
1. Opening (2 minutes): recap their goals in their words; agree the agenda; ask what success looks like at the end.
2. Show what matters first: for each of their top three needs, a segment of "problem -> demo moment -> result": what to click, what to say, and the question to ask after ("Is this how you'd like to see that report?").
3. Avoid the feature tour: list features to skip unless asked.
4. Handle questions: a parking-lot approach, honest "I don't know, I'll find out by Friday".
5. Close: summarize what they saw against their goals, ask for reactions, agree on next steps (trial, technical session, proposal).
6. Backup plan if the demo fails (screenshots, recorded video).
Provide the full script table: Minute | What I say | What I show | Question to ask | Notes. Add a data preparation checklist (realistic demo data without real customer information), a follow-up email template, and a self-review rubric. Do not claim capabilities that don't exist; mark any roadmap item as such.
