RICE Prioritization Worksheet
Score ideas with transparent inputs.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Score product ideas with RICE. Ideas: [IDEAS]. Reach data sources (users per quarter): [REACH_DATA]. Effort estimates in person-months: [EFFORT_ESTIMATES]. For each idea compute: Reach (people affected per quarter), Impact (0.25 minimal, 0.5 low, 1 medium, 2 high, 3 massive), Confidence (100, 80, 50 percent), Effort (person-months), and Score = (Reach x Impact x Confidence) / Effort. Show every calculation. Present a ranked table: Idea | Reach | Impact | Confidence | Effort | Score | Notes on the evidence behind each input. Then critique the ranking: which inputs are guesses; sensitivity (how rank changes if Impact or Effort changes by one level); items that score low but are strategic or required (compliance); the dependencies that change order. Recommend the top five for the next quarter with justifications and the decisions that need a human judgment call. Warn that RICE is a conversation tool, not an answer. Do not invent data; mark guesses as such.

Idea A: saved filters. Reach 1,200 users a quarter, impact 1, confidence 80 percent, effort 2 person-months. Score = (1,200 x 1 x 0.8) / 2 = 480. Idea B: bulk import. Reach 300, impact 2, confidence 50 percent, effort 3. Score = (300 x 2 x 0.5) / 3 = 100. Idea C: dark mode. Reach 2,000, impact 0.25, confidence 80 percent, effort 1. Score = (2,000 x 0.25 x 0.8) / 1 = 400. Ranking: A 480, C 400, B 100. Sensitivity: if effort for A is 3, score drops to 320 and C ranks first. Reach for B is a guess from sales calls; check usage data before deciding.
