Synthesise customer interviews using a jobs-to-be-done lens. Product and market: [PRODUCT_MARKET]. Interview notes or transcripts (five to ten, anonymised): [INTERVIEW_NOTES]. The decision I need to make: [DECISION].

For each interview extract the situation that triggered the search for a solution, the desired progress in the customer's words, the alternatives they considered, and the forces: push (what is wrong now), pull (attraction of a new solution), anxieties, and habits. Build a table across interviews with a column per interview. Then cluster jobs into three to five themes, count how many interviews support each, and quote evidence. Identify underserved outcomes and opportunities, labelled as hypotheses with the evidence needed to validate. Separate what customers said from what you infer. List questions for follow-up interviews. Quality bar: every claim must trace to a quote or be labelled inference.

After the cluster table, add a short section titled What We Would Need To Believe that lists, for the top opportunity, the three beliefs that must be true for it to be worth building, and rate the strength of the evidence for each. Add a sample interview follow-up question for each underserved outcome, written to avoid leading the customer, and a note on the limits of drawing conclusions from five to ten interviews.

Add a worked example of one interview extracted into the table with invented content: the trigger (their old tool failed the week before a board meeting), the desired progress in their words, alternatives considered, push, pull, anxiety and habit forces, and one verbatim quote for each. Label it an illustration. Add a method for checking the quality of the clusters: ask whether each theme has at least three independent supporting interviews, whether the quotes are about behaviour and not opinions about features, and whether any theme depends on a single enthusiastic participant. Provide a one-page summary format for the product team, with the top job, the top competing alternative, the biggest anxiety to address and the next three questions to answer.
