Personal Knowledge Base Structure With Databases and Review Habit
Set up a small Notion workspace you will actually maintain.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Design a personal knowledge base in Notion. What I want to capture (notes, projects, reading, ideas, tasks): [CAPTURE_TYPES]. How I search for things now: [SEARCH_HABITS]. Time I can spend on upkeep each week: [UPKEEP_TIME]. Propose a structure with at most four databases and the properties for each (name, type, status, tags, date, link to project), how they relate, and the views to create (inbox, this week, by project, archive). Give a naming convention, a capture routine (everything goes to an inbox page first), a weekly review checklist of 15 minutes, and a monthly archive. Include templates for a project page and a note page with the fields filled in as an example. List three things not to build yet (complex rollups, nested dashboards) and the signs that I have over-engineered it. Features such as relations, rollups and templates differ by plan and version; mark them [VERIFY]. Add a worked weekly review of 15 minutes: five minutes to empty the inbox into projects or the archive, five to update project next steps, three to tag notes, two to plan the next week, and the rule that notes without tags after two reviews are archived. Include the properties of the Notes database.
