Opening Paragraph and Hook Critique

Critique the opening of my piece and show me better versions. Piece type and audience: [PIECE_TYPE_AND_AUDIENCE]. What the piece promises: [PROMISE]. My opening (first 150 words): [PASTE_OPENING].

Calibrate with these examples:
Weak: "In today's fast-paced world, communication is more important than ever." (generic, could open any article)
Better: "Last March our support team answered 4,000 emails and 31 of them caused 40 percent of our refunds." (specific, raises a question)
Weak: "Have you ever wondered about sleep?" (empty question)
Better: "Most adults need seven hours of sleep. The average manager gets five and a half, and thinks they are fine." (tension and a fact)

Now give me:
1. A diagnosis of my opening: what it does in each sentence (context, promise, filler, hook) and what the reader will think at the end of the first paragraph.
2. Three rewrites using different techniques: a concrete scene or number, a bold claim I can back up, and a direct statement of the problem. Use only facts I gave; mark gaps as [ADD SPECIFIC].
3. A test: could this opening appear on a thousand other pieces? Score 1-5 for specificity.
4. A recommendation of which version to use and why.

Diagnosis: sentence 1 sets context ("Many businesses struggle with..."), sentence 2 filler, sentence 3 finally states the promise. A reader meets the point at word 54. Specificity score: 2/5 (could open a thousand articles).
Rewrite 1 (concrete number): "Last March our support team answered 4,000 emails. Thirty-one caused 40 percent of our refunds."
Rewrite 2 (bold claim): "Most onboarding emails fail before the second line."
Rewrite 3 (problem): "You wrote the welcome email. Nobody replied. Here's why."
Recommendation: version 1, because it raises a question the piece answers. [ADD SPECIFIC] if the number is not yours.
