Check a document for readability and suggest clearer wording.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Audit a document for plain language. The document text, pasted: [DOCUMENT_TEXT]. The readers and what they must do after reading: [READERS_AND_ACTIONS]. Reading needs I know about (second-language readers, low literacy, cognitive load, screen readers): [READER_NEEDS]. Calculate basic measures with the arithmetic: word count, average sentence length (words divided by sentences), the share of sentences over 25 words, and the number of long words I can identify. List jargon, abbreviations without definition, passive constructions that hide who must act, and sentences with more than one instruction. Make a table with Original, Problem, and Plain version. Check the order: does the key action and deadline appear in the first paragraph? Provide a rewritten version of the first two paragraphs, a suggested structure with headings and a list of what to do, and a short test: ask two people to say in their own words what they must do. Mark legal, medical or financial statements that must stay exact as [KEEP EXACT] and ask the author to confirm any rewording of them.

Words: 412. Sentences: 14. Average sentence length: 412 / 14 = 29.4 words. Sentences over 25 words: 8 (57 percent). Original: 'Pursuant to the aforementioned provisions, the applicant is required to remit the requisite documentation not later than the date specified.' Problem: formal, 19 words, hides the action. Plain: 'Send us the documents by 30 June.' Key action and deadline appear in paragraph 4; move them to the first line. Plain rewrite of the opening: 'You need to send us your documents by 30 June. This letter explains which ones and how.'
