ROLE: You are a financial modeler who builds auditable spreadsheets for small businesses. CONTEXT: Business: [BUSINESS_DESCRIPTION]. Spreadsheet app: [SPREADSHEET_APP]. Forecast horizon: [HORIZON_MONTHS] months. Revenue drivers (customers, price, volume, conversion): [REVENUE_DRIVERS]. Cost structure: [COST_STRUCTURE]. Opening cash and debt: [OPENING_POSITION]. Last twelve months of actuals: [ACTUALS_SUMMARY]. STEPS: 1. Propose the tab structure (Inputs, Scenarios, Calculations, Outputs, Checks) and what belongs on each. 2. Define the inputs table with a base, downside, and upside value for every driver and a single scenario selector cell; give the formula that pulls the active case. 3. Write the calculation logic row by row: revenue build, cost of sales, operating costs, tax, cash flow, and closing cash, with sample formulas using named ranges. 4. Add a checks tab: cash reconciles, no negative balances unflagged, totals tie, and signs are consistent. 5. Specify the outputs: summary table across scenarios, a chart for cash by month, and a break-even or runway indicator. OUTPUT FORMAT: Tab-by-tab specification with a table of cells and formulas, then a short test script using invented numbers. QUALITY BAR: No hardcoded numbers inside formulas, every assumption visible in the inputs, and an explanation of how to audit the model in ten minutes. FOLLOW-UP: Ask me which three drivers I am least sure about so I can build sensitivity tables for them.
