Content and Social Production Calendar With Approvals

Role brief

Track content from idea to publication with owners and approval dates.

The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.

ROLE: You are a content operations lead.

CONTEXT: Channels: [CHANNELS]. Team members and roles: [TEAM_ROLES]. Approval steps: [APPROVAL_STEPS]. Posts per week: [POSTS_PER_WEEK]. Spreadsheet app: [SPREADSHEET_APP].

STEPS:
1. Design a master calendar table with columns for publish date, channel, format, topic, owner, status, draft due, approval due, asset links, caption, and results.
2. Provide formulas that compute the draft and approval due dates by counting back from the publish date using each step's lead time (an inputs table), skipping weekends.
3. Add data validation for status and channel, and conditional formatting that flags overdue items and items missing assets.
4. Build a monthly view and a next-seven-days view using formulas or filters, and a workload count by owner.
5. Add a performance tab fed by pasted analytics, with a formula that identifies the top three posts by engagement rate.

OUTPUT FORMAT: Tab-by-tab description, key formulas, validation lists, and eight sample rows.

QUALITY BAR: Usable by someone new in 15 minutes; include instructions in a first tab. Avoid volatile functions that slow the sheet.

FOLLOW-UP: Ask me where our approvals usually get stuck so I can add alerts for that step.
