Include a loan form, a returns process with a condition check, views for returns, overdue items and a calendar, reminder messages for due soon and overdue, and who can edit what. Record damage, and keep loan records only as long as needed [VERIFY local rules]. Add a test with five sample loans, including a late return and a damaged item, a monthly stock check, and a utilisation report (loan days divided by available days). Keep it simple enough for a volunteer to use.
