ClickUp Sprint Planning and Review Notes
Run a sprint with goals, scope and a clear review.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Prepare notes for a sprint in ClickUp. Team and sprint dates: [TEAM_AND_DATES]. Backlog items with estimates: [BACKLOG]. Velocity from the last sprints: [VELOCITY]. Goal candidates: [GOALS]. Return a proposed sprint goal, the items that fit, using my wording for item names, dependencies and risks. Plan within 80 percent of capacity to allow for the unexpected and show the sum: velocities of 24, 28 and 26 average 26, and 80 percent of that is 20.8, so plan about 21 points. Add a sprint review agenda and a short template for recording what was completed, what was not and why, and what we learned. Unfinished items return to the backlog to be re-estimated, not rolled over by default. Sprint features and points may need to be enabled in the workspace [VERIFY]. List the questions the team should settle at planning, such as which item is the riskiest and who is away. For the review, ask what we would do differently, and keep the notes to one page that can be pasted into a ClickUp Doc.
