Retention Edit Pass Before and After
Tighten a draft script for flow and attention.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[ADD SOURCE] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Replace or resolve each flag before you use the result.
Tighten my video script. Script draft: [PASTE_SCRIPT]. Video length target: [LENGTH]. Audience: [AUDIENCE]. Retention data from past videos (where viewers drop): [RETENTION_NOTES].
Return:
BEFORE: the script with problems marked in brackets ([slow start], [repeats an earlier point], [jargon], [long explanation without a visual], [promise delayed], [filler phrase], [unclear transition]) and a word count by section.
AFTER: the tightened script: the main promise within the first 15 seconds; every sentence earns its place; points ordered by interest; transitions that open curiosity ("But here's the catch..."); variety (a story, an example, a number, a visual) every 20 to 30 seconds; no repeated intros ("in this video I will..."); and a clear ending. Preserve my meaning, voice, and facts.
CHANGE LOG: a table of the ten most important edits with the reason.
VISUAL PLAN: where to add cutaways, text, or graphics to support dense passages.
TEST: read aloud and time it; list sentences that trip the tongue.
Do not add claims, numbers, or sources. Mark any claim needing support as [ADD SOURCE]. Suggest two alternative hooks.
