Keep the tone honest and confident rather than defensive, and where results fell short, explain what we learned and what we changed instead of hiding the gap. Show the planned versus actual numbers side by side so the funder can see progress at a glance. Do not add claims, quotes, or numbers that are not in my materials, and tell me which sections will need a signature or approval from our finance lead or director before the report is submitted.
