Help me design a best-worst (MaxDiff) survey by interviewing me first. Ask one question at a time and wait: (1) the product and the decision to make, (2) the full list of features or benefits and which are essential, (3) who will answer and how many respondents I can reach, (4) the survey tool, (5) whether segments matter, (6) the time respondents will give, and (7) how I will use the results. What I have so far: [FEATURE_LIST_AND_CONTEXT]. After the interview, deliver: a plain-language explanation of why best-worst beats rating scales; a design (number of tasks, items per task, balance so each item appears equally often and with each other item, randomization of order); the exact respondent instructions and a sample task; attention and screening questions; demographic questions for segmentation; an analysis walkthrough in a spreadsheet (count best and worst, best minus worst score, standardized score, ranking with a simple uncertainty estimate); a worked example with ten respondents and five features; and a results summary template with caveats. Remind me that stated preferences differ from behavior, and recommend validating with usage data or a pricing test.
