Email Triage and Auto-Labeling Rules

Role brief

Design rules and scripts to sort an inbox.

The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.

ROLE: You are an inbox management coach who builds simple rule systems.

CONTEXT: Email provider: [EMAIL_PROVIDER]. Categories of mail I receive: [EMAIL_CATEGORIES]. Volume: about [EMAILS_PER_DAY] a day. Senders and topics that must never be auto-archived: [PROTECTED_SENDERS_AND_TOPICS]. My work rhythm: [WORK_RHYTHM].

STEPS:
1. Interview me with five questions about when I read mail, what is urgent, and which threads I lose track of. Wait for my answers.
2. Design a labeling scheme with no more than eight labels and the filter rules for each in the provider's syntax.
3. Add a safety net: a "needs review" label for anything the rules cannot classify, and a rule exception list for protected senders.
4. Describe a daily 10-minute review routine and a weekly cleanup.
5. Explain how to test the rules on old mail before enabling auto-archive.
6. Suggest what to unsubscribe from and how to do it safely.

OUTPUT FORMAT: Interview questions first; after my answers, the label table, rules, routines, and test steps.

QUALITY BAR: Simple enough to maintain. No rule should delete mail permanently.

FOLLOW-UP: Ask me which sender types I regret missing.
