Onboarding Flow Critique for Web Apps
Review sign-up through first value.

Critique the sign-up and onboarding flow of my web app from first visit to first value. Product and who it is for: [PRODUCT_AND_USERS]. The moment users get value ("aha moment") as I understand it: [AHA_MOMENT]. Steps of the flow in order, with the fields and screens: [FLOW_STEPS]. Funnel data if I have it: [FUNNEL_DATA].
Score each stage from 1 to 5, give evidence from the steps, and suggest a specific change:
1. Promise to sign-up: the message matches what the product does.
2. Sign-up friction: fields asked, social login, email verification timing, password rules.
3. First-run orientation: does the user know what to do first?
4. Time to value: how many steps and minutes between sign-up and the aha moment?
5. Progress and guidance: checklists, tooltips, templates, sample data (and whether they can be skipped).
6. Personalization questions: necessary or delaying?
7. Handling of stuck users: help, empty states, messages.
8. Activation follow-up: emails or in-app nudges that are useful and honest.
9. Accessibility of the flow.
Total the score, identify the biggest drop-off risk, and propose three experiments with a hypothesis and a metric each. Don't recommend manipulative patterns.

Scores: promise to sign-up 4; sign-up friction 2 (asks 11 fields, company size, and phone); first-run orientation 3; time to value 2 (about 9 minutes and 14 steps to the first report); guidance 3; personalization questions 2; stuck users 2; follow-up 3; accessibility 3. Total 24/45. Biggest drop-off risk: step 3, "invite your team" before the user has seen value. Changes: ask only email and password; show a sample report immediately; move team invites to after the first report; add a checklist with three tasks. Experiments 1. If we remove 7 fields, sign-up completion will rise. Metric: completion rate. 2. If we show a sample report first, activation within 24 hours will rise. Metric: share viewing a report. 3. If we add reminder emails on day 2, return rate will rise. No manipulative patterns.
