Email Authentication Records Basics Check for Your Domain
Review your own domain's SPF, DKIM and DMARC settings as pasted, flag missing or conflicting records, and plan safe changes. Defensive only.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Please help me review the email authentication records for my own domain so that signup confirmations and newsletters reach inboxes. This is a defensive check of my own setup. Mark every provider-specific instruction [VERIFY] and do not claim anything about how a particular inbox provider will treat my mail. Inputs: my sending domain [SENDING_DOMAIN], the DNS records I copied for it, such as TXT and CNAME entries (no secrets) [DNS_RECORDS_PASTED], the services that send email for me, such as my newsletter tool, website forms and company mailbox [SENDING_SERVICES], the address used as the From address on signup emails [FROM_ADDRESS], and any bounce or spam complaints I have noticed [DELIVERY_SYMPTOMS]. Provide: (1) a table with columns Service, Needs authentication by, Record present? (Yes / No / Unclear), Record summary, Problem, Fix; (2) an explanation in plain English of what SPF, DKIM and DMARC do; (3) checks for common mistakes: more than one SPF record, too many lookups (flag as a thing to verify), a service missing from the SPF record, DKIM not set for one sender, DMARC missing, or set to a policy that is stricter than the current setup can support; (4) a staged plan: monitor first, then tighten, with who to ask at each step; (5) a test checklist using test emails to different inbox types, and what to record; (6) a message to my IT contact or provider under 120 words. Guardrails: do not tell me to change DNS without a backup of current records. Do not invent record syntax; ask me to check with my provider. Make no deliverability guarantees. Add a worked example with invented details: two separate SPF records are listed for example.test. Show the problem, why it matters in general terms, and the careful fix to propose.
