Content Pruning and Consolidation Audit

Decision tree Has example

Decide which pages to keep, improve, merge, or remove.

The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.

Decide what to do with each page on my site using a decision tree. My site and goals: [SITE_AND_GOALS]. Page data: URL, title, publish date, traffic, conversions, backlinks, and notes: [PAGE_DATA_TABLE].

For every page, follow this tree and report the path:
1. Does the page earn traffic, conversions, or valuable links? If yes, go to 2. If no, go to 4.
2. Is the content accurate, current, and good? If yes, KEEP. If no, IMPROVE (list what to update).
3. Does another page cover the same topic or intent? If yes, MERGE into the stronger page and redirect.
4. Is the page needed for users or legal reasons (policies, support, archive)? If yes, KEEP but consider noindex. If no, go to 5.
5. Does it have backlinks or a purpose that could be revived? If yes, REWRITE or REDIRECT to the closest relevant page. If no, REMOVE (return a 404 or 410 as appropriate).

Output a table with Page | Path through the tree | Decision | Reason | Redirect target | Priority. Add summary counts, expected risks (lost links, internal links to fix), and a rollout plan in three waves with checks after each. Do not delete pages that have unclear value without a human check, and flag them.
