PowerPoint Slide Text Density and Readability Audit
Find slides with too much text or too small fonts.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Audit my PowerPoint slides for density. For each slide I give the text and the font sizes used: [SLIDES_TEXT_AND_SIZES]. Room and screen: [ROOM_AND_SCREEN]. Word limit: [WORD_LIMIT]. Minimum font size: [MIN_FONT]. Count words per slide, bullets, the smallest font and the number of ideas. Flag slides over the word limit or under the minimum font. Put the worst slides first in the table, give the average words per slide with arithmetic, and the number and share of slides over the limit; example (invented): six slides with 18, 24, 95, 41, 110 and 36 words against a limit of 40 gives 3 of 6 over (50 percent). For flagged slides say whether to split, cut, convert into a visual or move to notes, and rewrite the three worst faithfully to my content, marking unclear points as questions. Explain that readability depends on the room: font size relative to viewing distance. A rule of thumb is a guide to be tested by looking at the slide from the back.

Invented sample of six slides with word counts 18, 24, 95, 41, 110, 36. Limit 40. Over the limit: 3 of 6 (50 percent). Average words: (18 + 24 + 95 + 41 + 110 + 36) / 6 = 54. Slide 5 (110 words, 7 bullets): split into two slides and move detail to notes. Slide 3 (95 words): replace the paragraph with a chart and a single sentence. Smallest font found: 12 points on slide 5; raise to at least 18. Check from the back of the room.
